What if you could access 5-10 times the revenue from Amazon than what you're currently making?
The Amazon Influencer Program has evolved significantly over the past couple of years.
Previously, the strategy of uploading numerous product review videos and waiting for commissions has started yielding lower returns.
However, a new tactic called Creator Connections is providing creators with a path forward.
Jared Bauman from 201creative.com and host of the Niche Pursuits podcast is back on the show.
He is earning roughly $3,000 a month through the Amazon Influencer Program, with most of that income now coming from this new method instead of the old approach of simply creating videos for product pages.

**Round 1: Creator Connections**
Creator Connections is a feature in your Amazon Associates account where brands provide higher commission rates for product review videos.
You’ll find over 500,000 brand campaigns that offer commissions ranging from 10% to 40%, as opposed to the usual 2% to 3%. Most Amazon influencers, including Jared, now earn more from Creator Connections than the former method.
Begin by locating Creator Connection campaigns for products for which you already possess videos.
If you lack sufficient videos, start building a pipeline by reaching out to brands.
**Acquiring Free Products from Brands**
Jared dedicates 10 to 15 minutes each day to contacting brands, requesting them to send products for free.
While most do not reply, some respond positively: “We checked out your videos. We’d love to collaborate. The product is on its way.”
When contacting brands, mention your status level (gold or platinum if applicable), the number of videos you have (Jared has more than 1,500 videos), and the specific product ASIN.
Inform brands: “I’ll create a video and publish it on my Amazon storefront and YouTube channel within one to two weeks after you send the product.” Don’t forget to include your address in the message.
Aim for products that sell at least 100 units per month. The products usually arrive within two to seven days.
Keep track of everything using a spreadsheet: product requested, shipped, received, filmed, and posted live.
**Video Production**
Jared films about once every two weeks, producing two to three-minute videos with quick edits. The focus should be on addressing specific questions that prevent people from making a purchase.
Avoid repeating product specifications that are already available. Instead, showcase how it functions or address common concerns.
Amazon’s AI, Rufus, summarizes frequent questions found in reviews, helping you identify what needs to be covered.
For thumbnails, creating just one can help you stand out. Use phrases like “see me demo,” “worth it,” or “would I buy it.” For titles, keep it clear: “I set up and demo this for you.”
Shoppers on Amazon are not browsing for entertainment; they seek answers to specific questions.
**How to Identify Profitable Products**
Not every Creator Connections campaign is worth chasing.
Jared stresses the importance of focusing on products that are already selling well. A 40% commission means little if the product isn’t moving.
A simple method to assess this (without paid tools) is:
Go to the brand’s Amazon storefront
Click on individual product listings
Look for the line under reviews indicating sales, such as “200+ bought in the last month.”
This number reflects genuine sales velocity.
His personal minimum is products selling at least 100 units per month, though he’s flexible with higher-ticket items.
**Utilizing Browser Extensions to Save Time**
While this can be done manually, Jared recommends using Chrome extensions such as:
Viral Vue
Oink
These tools allow you to quickly assess:
Sales velocity
Availability of video carousel spaces
Commission rates
He mentions that these tools significantly reduce research time and simplify the ROI calculations. This shifts the strategy from randomly uploading videos to intentionally targeting revenue-generating products.
**Handling Products**
After filming, Jared often doesn’t keep most
